So my Christmas Concerts are now well and truly under way!
It all began on the 5th of December in The Daffodil in Cheltenham.
The Daffodil is a wonderful restaurant with fantastic food! I sang a total of four sets while dinners enjoyed a welcome drink and a three course meal — which looked delicious! Unfortunately I can’t eat before I sing, so I’ll be looking forward to going back to The Daffodil for a meal in the future!
I tried to keep my set list varied, with songs from Shine, popular covers like Mercy by Duffy, as well as some opera favourites like O Mio Babbino Caro. I was accompanied my John Broomhall on keys and Declan Zapala on Classical Guitar — both incredibly talented musicians!
I really enjoyed walking round the tables and talking to all the guests, it was lovely to get to know the people who had bought tickets and to thank them all personally, and then I was able to sing happy birthday to one gentleman, and speak to a couple who chose to spend their anniversary with me! So that was really lovely!
Ben, the manager, was an absolute star looking after everyone and providing such fantastic service all evening. I’m looking forward to next time already!
