Chinese New Year

Hello there,

I've been meaning to tell you about Chinese New Year for a while now!

I had an absolutely fantastic time! There were a couple of promo days before the main event in Trafalgar Sqaure, the first one was a press conference for Chinese press, and the second one was mainly for English press and included Madame Tussauds' wax figures of Jackie Chan and Bruce Lee!

The main event in London's Trafalgar Square is the biggest celebration of Chinese New Year outside of China; and in true Chinese fashion everything ran like clock work on the day, until the sound engineer accidentally stopped my backing track for the Downton Abbey Theme 'Did I Make the Most of Loving You?'; but the backing track soon started again and the performance carried on. I then sang 'Glorious', the second single from my debut album Shine. My third and final song was the Chinese song '春天的芭蕾‘ meaning Spring Ballet. It's an incredible song with a fantastic use of range, and when I started singing it, Chinese couples in the audience started ball room dancing and singing along! It was a wonderful atmosphere!

Since then I have been concentrating on song writing — second album here I come!
